# Staking
## **In App Staking**
### **Maximize your raffle rewards by staking your $SLC**
Staking boosts your OG bonus for future raffles, increasing your chances of winning a larger share of the $SLC available each month in the form of 100 million unique monthly prizes.
### How does it work?
1. **Claim Your Airdrop:** Receive your $SLC airdrop rewards.
2. **Start Staking:** Choose the percentage of your airdrop to stake (25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%) and select a staking duration (3, 6, 9, 12, 15, or 18 months).
3. **Confirm & Reap Rewards:** Instantly see your increased OG Bonus reflected and confirm your stake. Significantly boost your chances of winning epic prizes in upcoming raffles.
### **Staking Benefits**
* **Massive Raffle Boosts:** Significantly increase your winning odds in future raffles.

### Rules
* **OG Bonus:**
* The OG Bonus provides one raffle ticket for each in-app coin a user earns within 12 months before the raffle month. This excludes the current raffle period.
* Users always start with a base OG Bonus of 20%.
* **Staking Bonus:**
* The Staking Bonus increases your OG Bonus for the duration of your stake.
* Example: If you stake for 18 months, the bonus will be active for those 18 months.
* Available Stake Percentages: 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of your last airdrop.
* Available Staking Durations: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 months.
* The actual Staking Bonus is calculated based on the chosen percentage and duration.
#### Beta Airdrop Staking Bonus

This table is exclusively applicable to the Beta Airdrop. \

To determine the total staking bonus, add a 20% base bonus to the listed percentages. For example, if you select to stake 100% of your Beta airdrop allocation for 9 months, the total OG bonus would be 65%.\

Please note that percentages accumulate within each individual staking period.
**Important Information for the Beta Airdrop:**
* Vesting Period: 50% of the SLC received in the Beta Airdrop is available immediately, while the remaining 50% is vested linearly over 6 months.
* Staking Unvested Tokens: Silencio allows you to stake both your vested and unvested tokens. To ensure fairness to the community, unvested tokens are staked before vested (Available) tokens.
Example: If you stake 75% of your total airdrop, 25% will come from your vested tokens and 50% will come from your unvested tokens. This means that 25% of your vested tokens will be available for withdrawal.
* Your staked unvested tokens will continue to vest and will be available once the stake duration comes to an end.

Staking Bonus Calculation
* Bonuses apply equally to all users based on the percentage of the airdrop staked - regardless of the absolute $SLC amount.
* Bonuses from multiple stakes are cumulative.
**Example:**\
20% base OG bonus + 30% bonus in month 1 + 5% bonus in month 2 = 55% total bonus
* Bonuses are only active during the staking period of each individual stake.
#### Staking Eligibility
* All users are eligible to stake at any time.
#### Staking Limits
* The maximum stake per airdrop is equal to the amount of $SLC received in that specific raffle round.
* Users cannot stake more than what they earned in that airdrop.
* Bonus percentages apply percentually for all raffle periods, regardless of the stake size.
#### Restaking
* Once a stake concludes, it can be restaked under new conditions to prolong the OG bonus associated with that stake.
#### Stake Boost
* Users may increase the duration and/or allocation of any active stake.
**Example:**\
If a user initially staked 50% of their airdrop for 6 months, they can later “boost” this by increasing their allocation to 75% or 100%, and extending the commitment to a longer duration (e.g., 9 or 12 months). The new stake replaces the old one from that day on and applies the new bonus structure.
#### Important Notes
* Staked tokens are locked and cannot be withdrawn during the staking period.
* Future staking and OG bonuses are subject to change, but existing stakes will retain their original conditions.
* App wallets do not support direct deposits. $SLC can only be staked if received via the in-app raffle. If you withdraw your $SLC from the app, you cannot re-stake it - so be sure before initiating a withdrawal.
## On Chain Staking
### What is Staking?
Staking is a mechanism that allows holders of the $SLC token to lock their tokens into the network for a certain period in order to support the ecosystem and, in return, potentially earn rewards. By staking SLC, participants signal their long-term commitment to the Silencio Network, help secure the system, and align with the project's vision of building a decentralized sound-data infrastructure.
Unlike traditional staking models tied to consensus mechanisms, Silencio staking is designed to incentivize alignment, participation, and loyalty from the community and early supporters.
### Why Stake?
Staking allows token holders to:
* Support the Silencio ecosystem by reducing the circulating supply
* Participate in future initiatives (e.g., community governance, exclusive data access, early feature testing)
* Earn rewards, determined and distributed at the discretion of the Silencio Foundation
Staking is not mandatory but provides a way for committed users and believers in the project to play a more active role in its development.
### Rewards and Foundation Discretion
The Silencio Foundation will define and periodically adjust:
* The reward structure, which may include token incentives, multipliers for long-term lockups, and ecosystem perks
* The staking durations and lock-up options
* Any additional utilities or benefits granted to stakers (e.g., whitelisting, voting rights)
All parameters are subject to change and will be announced transparently through official channels. The foundation retains full discretion over the reward issuance schedule to ensure sustainability and alignment with long-term project goals.
### How to Stake $SLC
Participating in Silencio’s staking program is simple and only takes a few minutes. Below are the step-by-step instructions to stake your SLC tokens via the official staking portal:\

1. Visit the official Silencio staking portal: [https://staking.silencio.network](https://staking.silencio.network/)
2. Connect Your Wallet
3. Click on “Connect Wallet” and choose your preferred wallet provider (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.).

4. Select the Amount of $SLC to Stake
5. Enter the amount of $SLC tokens you wish to stake. The portal will display your current balance and any applicable minimum or maximum limits.
6. Approve $SLC Token Usage
7. Before staking, you’ll need to approve the staking contract to access your $SLC tokens.
* Click "Approve"
* Confirm the transaction in your wallet

8. Stake Your Tokens
9. Once approved, click "Stake" and confirm the staking transaction in your wallet.

10. Transaction Confirmation
11. After confirmation, your tokens will be locked into the staking contract. You will see your staked amount and staking details in the dashboard.
